Thillai Vilagam: Ramar Temple.

This place is about 20 Kms from Thiruthurai poondy. The place is also known a Pundareeka Vanam.

The main Raja Gopuram of temple is of five storeys with, Artha mandapam, Maha mandapam and Sobana mandapam with two prakaram.

Main Deity is Panchalokha moortham of Veera Kodanda Ramar with Seetha Devi, Lakshmana, and Hanuman in standing posture facing east.

Sthala puranasays Sri Rama stayed in this place on his way back to Ayodhya. Sthala Vruksham is Thillai Maram and Teertham is Seetha teertham, Rama teertham, Hema pushkarani and Hanuman Teertham.

The idol of Sri Rama is made of pancha lokam with fine details like nerves, fingers, nails, the lines on the palm, and all other features are sharp and neatly molded. One can see the life in the idol and looks as though the Lord Sri Rama is in person before us to bless.
