This is one of 275 Devara Sthalam. The Place is Thiru Padhaleecharam / Pampani about 2Kms from Mannarkudi on the banks of River Pamani with two prakaram.
We see Ganapathy and Nagar outside the temple in a small shed.
As we enter inside the main gate we see 16 pillar mandapam to right side.
Dwajasthambam is seen in front with Pradosha Nandi in front of it facing Lord Siva.
We see Dwara Ganapathy and Dwara Subramanyar to either side of the temple entrance near Dwajasthambam.
Main Deity is Swayambu Lingam known as Arulmigu Naganadhar and his consort known as Amirtha Nayaki Amman.
Teertham is known as Naga teertham and Sthala vruksham is Mango tree. Adiseshan from Padalokam worshipped Lord Siva of this place, hence the place is known as Padaleecharam, and deity as Naganadhar. There are imprints of snake on Siva lingam.
As we go around the prakaram we see Vinayakar, Murugan, Pancha lingam Gaja Lakshmi, Durgai, Saraswathy, Surya, Bairavar and Badrakali.
We see Vilva tree with nine leaves in the temple, which is a rare species
Stone inscriptions are there in the temple. Thiru Gyana Sambandhar and Sundarar have sung hymns on Lord Siva of this temple.
