  1. Thiru Tandalai Neelneri / Velore.

The place Tandalai, is about 3 kms to north of Thiruthurai poondy. The temple is known as Neelneri. This is one of the madak koil built by Cochenga Chozan. This is one of 275 Devara sthalam. Thiru Gyana Sambandhar sung hymns on Lord Siva of this temple

The temple has Raja Gopuram and Prakaram. It was too late in the night when we reached the temple; we did not take picture of the temple.

Main Deity is Swayambu Lingam known as Arulmigu Neelneri nadhar and his consort known as Gyanambikai. Teertham is Omaga Teertham and Sthala Vruksham is Orilai Kuruntham.

As we go around the inner prakaram we see, Vinayakar, Arumugar, Soorya Chandran, Arivattaya Nayanar, Natarajar, Cochengat chozar and Siva Lingas worshiped by Vyagyapadhar and Patanjali muni.

Sthala Purana says Thirumal when he took Kurma avatara, he was beyond control. Lord Siva had to control, Tirmal who was kurma. He had to punish Kurmam, to make Perumal realise his avatara. He wore the skin of Kurmam in this place.

Arivata Nayanar was blessed by Lord Siva, and attained mokasha, in this place for his dedication towards worship of Lord Siva, even during the time of poverty he was facing. Arunagiri nadhar has mentioned this place as Vaippu sthalam in his composition.
