Chimili / Thiru Thalayalangkadu :



The place chimili is about four kms from Enkan Murugan Temple. This is one of 275 Siva Devara sthalam. The temple is under renovation.



Main Deity here is Swayambu Lingam known as Arulmigu Nardhana pureeswarar and his consort known as Thiru madanthyammai. Ambal is seen in different sanctum here. Teertham is Sanku teertham and Sthala Vruksham is Banyan tree.


Importance of the temple is Muyalagan was assigned with the job to destroy God. Lord Siva took control of Muyalagan, and placed his feet on him. Kapila Muni worshiped Lord Siva of this place. By taking bath in the pushkarani and worshiping Lord Siva here, Leprosy is cured.
